We think, and act consciously, with a long term perspective. Eco consciousness is integral to our mission. Ethical sourcing, minimal waste and its management are cornerstones of our operations. Central to our brand ethos, is the creation of enduring products, thus ensuring sustainability by that very nature. Our pieces are designed to be classic and long lasting, offering both longevity and aesthetic appeal in equal measure and regards.
The Emmy Minaudière is the brainchild of acclaimed Hollywood stylist, Lindsey Dupuis and our Creative Director, Namrata Dudaney.
Named after Hollywood stylist Lindsey Dupuis' daughter Emerson, The Emmy Minaudière comes in a set of classic colours, crafted in vegetable-dyed, embossed leathers.
Lindsey has styled a wide range of A-list Hollywood stars, which include Nikki Reed and Sharon Stone.
With Lindsey having supported Ahikoza since the label's launch, 2020 proved to be the perfect time for collaboration. Lindsey and Namrata blended together their aesthetics into what turned out to be a stunning merge of elegance and function. It's simply the perfect clutch both on and off the red carpet!
In September 2019, our much-awaited collaboration with renowned Indian designer Arpita Mehta was unveiled to a stunning result.The collaboration saw Arpita Mehta and our Creative Director Namrata Dudaney merge their sartorial sensibilities to create two signature clutches: The Azeline Polti and The Nammos Foldover Clutch. Doused in statement-making hues, the pieces take a melodic detour through the colour spectrum with canary yellow, aqua, fuchsia, electric blue, burgundy wine, walnut, matte black, and blue ombre, among others.At its core, the brand DNA of Ahikoza is an aesthetic play on geometry, inspired by architectural installations and sculptures. While the brand has diversified into numerous products, its signature candy-coloured clutches are highly favoured by celebrities, both on and off the red carpet. The designers also found common ground in their shared prioritization of the craftsmen who serve as the "hands behind the art". Adequate wages, a conducive working environment and fair treatment make the pulse of the collection.
Beyond Exotics: In November 2017, Namrata Dudaney and Victoria's Secret model Barbara Fialho co-designed a limited edition clutch, The Barbara Foldover. It was produced in a select series of vegan leathers for a charity release titled By the Artisans, For the Artisans: Giving Back with Barbara Fialho. It proved to be a successful campaign with 100% of its profits going back to the artisans who crafted the bag. It was Ahikoza's tribute to honouring the hands behind the art. The model was seen carrying her namesake bag in New York, Miami, and Sao Paulo.
In February 2019, Ahikoza and acclaimed Indian designer Rocky Star joined forces to release a limited edition remix of the label's signature Minaudières. The label Rocky Star Official is known for its chic glam and intricate workmanship. This resulted in a streamlined collection of our signature bags, crafted in vegan digital print fabrics called Ahikoza for Rocky Star Official. The collection was showcased in London Fashion Week and seen in various campaigns by Bollywood celebrities.
